    FEATURED PUBLICATIONS:
Spiders: A Closer (Eight-Eyed) Look: This article was written in honor of Halloween, and to educate readers on these unique creatures and hopefully overcome any fear or bias against them. The article is also accompanied by my own photos taken during many jaunts outside with my trusty macro lens. Read article.
Great Scott(s) Oriole!: This web exclusive was the result of my persistent pursuing of a Rare Bird Alert. The Scott's Oriole was miles from its usual grounds, and had never been spotted in the state of New York. I visited the plucky bird often to grab some photos and gain more inspiration for this article. Read article.
Go with the Glow: Audubon Magazine was featuring a cover story on the lesser known island of Vieques. I had recently been there twice, and was fortunate enough to witness the incredible natural phenomenon of bioluminescence. This work accompanied the feature as a Web Exclusive complementary article. Read article.
Tiny Titans Movie Review: Life in the Undergrowth. One of the editors of Audubon Magazine, knowing I was an insect enthusiast, suggested I watch this DVD and write a review. The hardest part was keeping the article within the recommended length. Read article.
Sprawl: From B (Boomburb) to Z (Zoomburb)Book Review: A Field Guide to Sprawl. This book review details the far reaching effects humans have had on the landscape. It was difficult due to its depressing content, but eye opening at the same time. Read article.
inSects In The City: This is the commencement of a blog about urban bugs. I was inspired to write this series after seeing how many species there were in local parks, gardens and even my apartment. I continue this effort on my own Bugsophere site and fan page, but plan on hopefully resuming this topic for the magazine. Read blog.
The Blug: This is my personal bug blog (hence the name blug). It is a new project, and I plan on marketing this more broadly after I find the time to write more content and gain a proper following. Read blog.
